Get ready for an epic battle as the Seattle Seahawks gear up for the NFC Championship Game! The city is buzzing with excitement, and no one is more thrilled than the legendary Warren Moon, a Hall of Famer and former Seahawks quarterback.
Moon, a true Seattle sports icon, is all in for this championship run. With the Seahawks back in the spotlight after a few years' hiatus, he believes they're built for this moment and is loving every second of it.
"It's a family affair here in Seattle, and the energy is incredible," Moon shared in an exclusive interview. "We've been waiting for this, and everyone is thrilled to see the Seahawks back in the championship game."
But here's where it gets controversial...
The Seahawks are facing their archrivals, the Los Angeles Rams, in a battle for the ages. While Moon's heart is with the Seahawks, he predicts a close game. "I want to see them win and return to the Super Bowl," he said. "But my gut tells me it'll be a tight contest."
And this is the part most people miss...
The Rams have an impressive offense, averaging a league-leading 30.5 points per game during the regular season. They're a formidable foe, and the Seahawks' defense will have their work cut out for them.
"The Rams have been a problem for us since [head coach] Sean McVay arrived," Moon explained. "We know how to play them, but we have to take care of the ball. If we execute and protect the ball, we can win."
The Seahawks have an advantage with their passionate fans, known as the "12s" for the 12th man on the field. Lumen Field, one of the loudest stadiums in the league, will be rocking with energy.
"The atmosphere against the 49ers last week reminded me of our Super Bowl days," Moon recalled. "The crowd was incredible, and I expect the same intensity this week."
So, who will prevail in this highly anticipated matchup? Will the Seahawks' defense hold strong against the Rams' potent offense? Or will the Rams pull off an upset?
Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: this game will be a thriller!
